A Study On The Classification Of The Bubbles In Glass Using Modern Techniques

The author studied the classification of 300 bubbles using modern techniques. First, the appearance of the bubbles were observed under the optical microscope then, the bubbles were classified according to the kinds of inclusions in the bubbles. The solid inclusions in the bubbles were analysed using nondestructive analysis techniques, viz. laser Raman probe microzone analyser, and a section of the bubble was analysed using an electron probe analyser.
