Structure, Non Newtonian Flow And Relaxation In Glass Forming Melts

A generalized model is developed describing pseudoplastic, dilatant and combined pseudoplastic-dilatant behaviour of real non Newtonian liquids. It is demonstrated that the classical flow stress relations (e.g. the de Waele-Ostwald formula, Darcy's equasion, the Prandtl-Eyring sine hyperbolic law etc.) follow as limiting cases from this theoretical model.
