Structure Investigations Of The Li20-B203-Si02 System Glasses And Devitrificated Glasses (In Polish)

The ternary system Li20-B203-Si02 is relatively little known. due to the high volatility of Li20 and B203 at elevated temperatures the investigations of that system are difficult. This article presents the results of the structure investigation of twelve glasses obtained from selected phase regions of the system, as well as the results of the investigation of devitrification of several selected glasses. Mid-infrared absorption spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction phase analysis have been applied in the investigations. The conclusions concerning the structure of the domains of the investigated glasses, coordination of boron in the glass a structure and the type of phases formed in the process of glass devitrification are presented.
