Structure Of Glasses In The Na2O-Fe2O3-Sio2 System

The structure of glasses of a local area of the Na2O - Fe203 - B203 - SiO2 system is studied. The sequence of formation of oxygen-containing tetrahedral groups in the presence of nonbridge oxygen ions is established. Formation of groups of a six-coordinated iron cation facilitates crystallization of sodium-boron-sillicate glass melts in cooling.
