Structure Aspects Of The Crystallization Of Silicate Glasses

A model of the structure of silicate glasses derived from random network theory has been used to analyse liquation phenomena in binary silicate and multicomponent aluminosilicate systems. Possible causes of retardation of crystallisation in inorganic oxide melts are suggested on the basis of the results obtained.
