Structure And Properties Of Long-Wavelength-Transmitting Halide Glasses

A series of modified zinc halide glasses was prepared and characterised by differential scanning calorimetry, middle and far Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and polarised Raman spectroscopy. The most probable glass structures are discussed and compared with oxide glass models.
