Structural Transitions In Glasses And Glassforming Liquids

Brillouin light scattering was used for the investigation of glass-forming systems of variable fragility, with the objective to elucidate the glass transition phenomenon. A theoretical model was developed that provides consistent description of the temperature dependence of real and imaginary mechanical moduli of all the systems investigated.
