Structural Glazing: The Ce Mark Has Arrived

From 1 July 2003, only structural curtain walls bearing the CE mark can be sold on the EU market, and to use the CE mark, you must have European Technical Approval. To obtain this approval, you have to apply the guidelines for European Technical Approval of structural curtain walls systems ETAG 002/part 1 drawn up by the OETA (EU Organisation for Technical Approvals). Approval and the CE mark certify complex conformity covering the whole production chain - system and facade fabricators and sealer and glass producers. A process whose rules and procedures have been clarified only during the last few months.
