Structural Adhesives And Sealants In Vehicle Construction (In German)

A summary is given of the papers presented at the 10th International Adhesives Seminar, 27-29 January 1988 in Rosenheim, in which many aspects of automotive adhesion and sealing were considered, such as fundamentals of jointing, standards, combination of spot welding and adhesion, long term stability of adhesion joints, the use of low pressure plasma and corona techniques for pre-treatment of surfaces, the use of anaerobic adhesives, one-part and two-part PU adhesives, poysulphide and RTV silicone adhesives and sealants, bonding of metal to glass, use of micro-encapsulated screw-fixing systems, quality control, and the use of adhesives in brake and clutch housings.
