Storage Of Waste With More Than 50 Wt% Fe203 And Cr203 In Glass Composites

Glasses having different weight ratios of soda-lime-silica glass: metal oxide waste with more than 50 wt% Fe203 and Cr203 were obtained. The glass containing 20 wt% metal oxide waste was mixed again with the waste in order to obtain, through sintering, composites with increased Fe203 and Cr203 contents. Checking the chemical and physical properties of the samples it results that for the storage of this type of waste the glass with 20 wt% waste content is well suited. The composites can be used as a secondary raw material in the metallurgical industry.
