Stevanato To Build New Container Plant

Italian group Stevanato, producer of pharmaceutical glass containers and of production/control machinery, is to build a new container plant in Mexico. The plant will mean the company can serve more effectively the growing market for its products in North America. In Europe, Stevanato has acquired ann Italian supplier of inspection systems for pharmaceutical containers. Its acquisition target was Optrel of Vicenza, whose systems can be used to inspect empty of full containers by both glassmakers and pharmaceutical companies. Stevanato produces containers from tubing through its plants in Italy (Nuova Impi & Alfamatic) and Slovakia (Medical Glass).
