[South America] Presidential Launch For New Glassworks

The presidents of Uruguay and Venezuela, Tabaré Vázquez and Hugo Chávez, as well as the Mayor of Montevideo, Ricardo Ehrlich, took part in a ceremony to launch glassworks Envidrio on 8 December 2005. Envidrio, with a workforce composed of former Cristalerías del Uruguay workers, will produce container glass. The company will receive financial assistance from the Venezuelan government.
