Some Observations On The Impact Behavior Of A Sic Fiber-Reinforced Glass-Ceramic

A study has been made of impact loading behaviour of a silicon carbide fibre reinforced lithium-aluminosilicate glass-ceramic matrix. To assess the change in failure due to embrittlement, the material was tested in both the "Cerammed" state and after exposure in air at high temperature.
