Some Observation Were Made During Studies Of Glass Conditions In White Flint Forhearths

Temperature measurements in white flint forehearth are reported. Furnace level was not found to have any obvious correlation with variations of temperature in forehearth. The need for a well sites sensor in the working end and the improved control of gob temperature achieved by independent spout firing were demonstrated.
