Some Aluminosilicate Shaped Refractories In The Glass Industry

In varying proportions to each other and sometimes with other additions, compounds of alumina and silica form the basis of more than 50% of the volume of refractories used in glassmaking. Over the years there have been many local classifications of refractories. This article covers the dense pressed and slip, gel and low cement cast products only.
