Solidification Of Glass

When glass products are formed two processes are combined, i.e. molten glass deformation and its progressive solidification. These processes begin simultaneously but their duration is different. The total forming time usually depends on the rate of molten glass solidification since the deformation time is less than the solidification time. In the literature dealing with kinetics of glass solidification, experimental results are considered qualitatively, relating to different heat transparencies resutlting from the introduction of colourants.
