[Solar] Thin-Film Technology Makes A Breakthrough

The Centre for Research into Solar Energy and Hydrogen research (ZSW) is gaining ground on the leading manufacturers in the race to market the most efficient thin-film solar cell. Its copper-indium-gallium-diselenide-based CIS cells achieved efficiencies of up to 19.6% in a pre-industrial production line. This article looks at the race to develop the most successful solar energy concept.
