Solar Technology: Film'Trimmer

The Bystronic glass film'trimmer enables automatic trimming of PVB films on rectangular glass formats after assembly or after the autoclave process. The innovative cold cutting process avoids any sticking of the film layers. The film'trimmer shows a consistent, even high trimming quality, and processes up to 12 fold PVB films with a total thickness of 4.6mm. With a speed of up to more than 40 meters per minute,t he machine provides a reliable start to the trim cut on the free overhanging end of the film. The film'trimmer is suitable not only for photovoltaic module production but also for standard and customised sizes laminated for glass manufacturing.
