Solaglas Wins Hotel-Chain Deal

Solaglas Contracting Scotland has won the contract for a new chain of hotels. It has completed the futuristic Dakota Hotel at Eurocentral Business Park in Glasgow, which is the second hotel in the chain to be built. The company was awarded the project as a preferred supplier of Dawn Construction & because it has the expertise and capability to install large complex fenestration projects. The team from Solaglas gave advice to the project managers about the structural requirements for the bar and brasserie areas, where curtain walling sits proud of the structure. Each hotel in the chain will be designed by Rio Architects to meet the particular needs of its site in terms of capacity and layout. The 92-bedroom, 5-story facility, with adjoining offices at Motherwell, is a black box, clad in metal with dark grey tinted glass.
