Solaglas - New Repair Centres Added

Emergency glazing repair/replacement company Solaglas Windowcare is opening new premises in south-west England & plans to open more centres later in 2008. The company provides window & frame repair/replacement for direct insurers & intermediaries such as RGS Insurance, Fortis, Esure etc. As part of aggressive UK growth plans, the company is about to open a centre in Bristol. The company, owned by Saint-Gobain, plans to open another six centres over the next 18 months. MD Ian Davy said: "The commercial insurance market is changing year on year. Where it used to be just shop-front windows, it's now a lot more architectural & high-spec glass, which can't be repaired & replaced by a normal glazier." He said the business is growing organically & is also considering a number of acquisitions involving small to medium-sized commercial glazing firms.
