The soda ash dispute rages on, with India caught in the middle of what is effectively a Sino-US argument. Are US producers justified in their claimes to have the playing field levelled against the cheaper raw material coming from China, or is high level government intervention and veiled threats of the withdrawal of preferred nation status privileges going too far?
