Turkey's Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari (Sisecam), based in Targovishte, has been commissioned by FIFA, soccer's world governing body, & soft drinks giant Coca-Cola to manufacture 6M promotional glasses for the upcoming World Cup finals in Germany. The order is part of a larger contract for 15M glasses that will involve Sisecam units in other countries. The Sisecam factory in Targovishte is the third Bulgarian company hired to provide services or products related to a major sporting event. Sanitary ware factory Vidima Ideal was a supplier of the 2004 Athens Olympics while Air Sofia shipped equipment for the Paris-Dakar rally. The $75M household glassware factory was launched in July 2005. It has 8 manufacturing lines and a capacity to make 54,000 tons, i.e. 235M items annually. They are marketed under the Pasabahci brand.
