Simulation Tools For Glass Forming Processes By Drawing

In glass manufacturing a variety of different forming processes is used to meet product requirements like shape and quality but also throughput and cost targets might influence the decision for the optimal forming process. Out of these variety one can select a group of forming processes that have in some respect similar forming principles but than also some very different forming physics. The present paper focuses on similarities and differences of drawing processes and its requirement to modelling.
