Simulation Of Bubble Removing Process In A Tv Furnace

Growth and dissolution of bubbles generated during the batch reaction into glassy state is a very complicated physico-chemical phenomenon. Assuming that bubbles are removed by two mechanisms, flotation or absorption, a simulator to evaluate the overall influence of (a) glass and batch composition, including refining agents, (b) geometrical tank design, and (c) furnace operating conditions. For verification, the simulated results were compared with actual data from Nippon's TV panel furnaces.
