Silicon In Container Glasses, Its Solution Kinetics And Dissolving Potential In Container Glass Furnaces

The forming process of silicon stones in differently coloured container glasses under the action of different aluminium pieces is discussed and some special features during the generation reported. The dissolution of formed silicon stones was analysed in dependence on melting time, temperature and colour of the glass. With this knowledge, the constant and diffusion coefficient rates of dissolution were calculated.
