Short History Of Czech Glassmaking

It is not known when the very first Czech glassworks was founded. It was believed, that the oldest and still functional glassworks in Chribska (North Bohemia) was established in 1414, but modern research has found older glassworks dating back to the second half of the 13th century. It is assumed that some were founded even earlier. Current archaeological research is uncovering more and more medieval glassworks, as explained in this article.
