Both divisions of Greenberg Glass Group are now in administration, putting hundreds of jobs at risk. It was confirmed 7 Nov, Greenberg Glass Emergency had collapsed just days after its sister company, Greenberg Glass Contracts, suffered the same fate. Manchester-based administrator MCR is actively seeking a buyer for Greenberg Glass Contracts but the fate of Greenberg Glass Emergency remained unclear last night. The division, which employs around 300 people, provides emergency replacement glass to many of the most famous names in British retailing & controls around 70% of the national market. Its main base is in Huddersfield but the Greenberg group is run from Liverpool. Around 50 people in Huddersfield have lost their jobs along with another 36 in Gateshead. In a statement, MCR said: "The administrators are currently speaking with a number of interested parties."
