Sgg Develop Aquaclean Self-Cleaning Glass

Saint-Gobain have developed Aquaclean self-cleaning glass, based on hydrophilic coating technology. This means that it uses the effect of water to its advantage, and is produced by depositing a thin coating of transparent hydrophilic mineral material on the glass surface. When in contact with the glass pane, water spreads evenly over the surface of the coating, producing a cleaning effect. The water then rapidly evaporates, leaving no traces of any marks. The process works extremely well, particularly in cases where it is exposed to rain.
