Selecting A Laser Scanner

On-line laser scanners are used to detect defects in float glass. Without international standards, however, many glassmakers do not know what to look for when choosing a system. At the recent ICG in Beijing, John Claridge proposed 12 objective selection criteria for ensuring the chosen laser inspection system not only improves glass quality but also maximises yield.
