Screenprinting On Glass

Imprinting glass for decorative purposes, or to alter thermal or transparency characteristics, is one of the fastest-growing trends in the commercial glass industry. Architects & designers are increasingly seeking new and innovative ways to use glass. One of the simplest and most versatile of the processes for changing the look or reflective properties of glass is screenprinting, . While screenprinting may initially prompt many to think of T-shirts, it is a time-trusted method in which a design can be printed onto any surface, including glass panels or panes. Yet few glass products have ventured into what they may consider to be an expensive and technically challenging process. This article argues that setting up a glass printing operation can be surprisingly easy and cost-effective.
