EME Maschinenfabrik Clasen GmbH, a supplier of batch plant and cullet returns systems, has been awarded a contract in Saudi Arabia by major glass container manufacturer, National Co for Glass Industries "Zoujaj." In 2006, EME supplied a control system for the glassmaker's existing batch plant and has now received the order for the upgrade of the batch plant and cullet return system. Zoujaj is expanding its production capacity in Riyadh by adding another melting furnace and several production lines. EME will manage the capacity increase of the existing batch plant and supply a cullet return system, while furnace number one is in full operation. The turnkey package includes local steel supply and complete installation services for the equipment and steel.
