Sasil Promotes Its Environmental Benefits At Seminar In Italy

A seminar to discuss minimising the environmental impact of glass recycling and container production is to be held in Italy on January 26, 2007, in Biella. The event will be used to promote the environmental advantages of using the Sasil product in glassmaking batch, and will include a visit to the Sasil plant. Sasil has recently adapted sophisticated raw minerals treatment processes to the treatment of cullet. The project aims to solve the problem of increasing amounts of dirty cullet, rejected by glassmakers, being used in landfill. It will also introduce the glassy sand raw material developed by Sasil to the glass container industry, allowing glassmakers to reduce their use of primary raw materials & of energy while improving glass quality & production performance.
