Sale Of Desjonqueres Could Lead To Job Cuts

Saint-Gobain Desjonqueres, the container glass subsidiary that Compagnie de Saint-Gobain SA plans to sell, could cut 461 jobs between 2007 and 2011, according to French newspaper La Tribune, citing union sources, on 19 February 2007. Saint-Gobain has put Desjonqueres for sale and said at the end of January 2007 that it expects to earn around EUR 690 million from the divestment.
