Saint-Gobain has reaffirmed its commitment to its plant at La Granja de San Ildefonso (Segovia, central Spain) and has announced future investments that dispel any fears over a possible transfer of the factory. So said the Saint-Gobain general delegate for Spain, Portugal and Morocco, Benoit Carpentier, in a recent interview with the Mayor of San Ildefonso, Félix Montes, and the sub-delegate for the Spanish government in Segovia, Juan Luis Gordo. For its part, La Granja council is prepared to assign Saint-Gobain two hectares of industrial land for future extensions. According to the council, the guarantee not to transfer the factory is of vital importance to the district and provincial economies.
