Saint-Gobain Invests €30M In New Float Line

Saint-Gobain has inaugurated its latest float glass facility in Aniche-Emerchicourt, northern France, a plant that was mothballed back in 2013. At the leading edge of glass technologies in France, the manufacturing equipment has been completely renovated and modernised. The plant will have an annual output of 20m sq/m and will produce glass for both the construction and automotive markets. The renovated furnace boasts the latest technical and environmental performances: around 10% higher productivity; 25% lower energy consumption, and 20% fewer CO2 emissions compared to the previous facility.
