Saint-Gobain Considers Russia Plant

Saint-Gobain is considering expanding its capacities in Russia with the construction of new production facilities in the country, according to reports. Neither the location of the proposed plants, nor the size of the investment have been disclosed, although sources in Russia predict that the total could exceed 400M Euros. The Urals region is thought to be one of the possible locations under consideration, due to its large resource base and central position in Russia. The new plant would focus on the production of flat glass, glass wool and technical insulation.
