During its meeting on 25 February 2010, Saint-Gobain's Board of Directors decided unanimously to recommend the renewal of the term of office as director of Pierre-André de Chalendar to the Annual General Meeting on 3 June 2010. Pierre-André de Chalendar, who is currently the Group's CEO, sees his term expire at this date. Jean-Louis Beffa's term as chairman of the Board of Directors will expire at the close of the Annual General Meeting, as per the age limit stipulated in the company's bylaws. The Board of Directors unanimously agreed that the positions of chairman and chief executive officer should once again be combined, and therefore intends to appoint Pierre-André de Chalendar as chairman and chief executive officer of Saint-Gobain, on condition that his term of office as director is renewed by the shareholders.
