Saint Gobain Acquires New Float Line In China

Saint-Gobain's flat glass division and its Korean partner Hanglas have announced the acquisition of a float line in Qingdao in China's Shangdong province. The float line will be renovated this year to increase capacity to 650/tpd as well as to raise the level of quality. The acquisition will help Saint-Gobain and Hanglas to strengthen their presence in China - the largest market in the world for the production of flat glass. (whole item)
