Safety Testing Of Agglomerated Corks Used As Closures For Sparkling Wine Bottles (Italian)

A ten month trial to compare agglomerated and conventional cork closures showed that the agglomerated corks had better barrier properties. Tabulated results indicated the variation in internal pressure inside the bottles over the test period and the force required to open the bottles.
