Russian Glass Industry Proves A Strong Presence

Various structural changes have been occurring with regard to Russian glass production. There is active integration of global capital into the Russian glass market, particularly in the construction of factories, the purchasing of working companies and the creation of joint ventures. There are over 3000 companies and over 500,000 workers in the Russian glass industry. Many of these firms are members of the Russian National United Council of Glass Industry Enterprises (StekloSouz). In this report, the author discusses the current market situation in Russia and other CIS states.
