Russian Float Projects

Baltic Glass Co and PPG Ind, plan to construct up to four facilities for the production and distribution of float glass in Russia. The move comes after Baltic Glass Co, (St Petersburg) and PPG agreed to work together to develop projects for automotive and architectural applications. The first joint project involves the construction of a facility in St Petersburg by H F Teichmann consisting of two 600/tpd float lines. The plant will be constructed using oxy-fuel technology developed by PPG.
