The information about production and consumption volumes for various types of glass in Russia is very contradictory. Official statistical data about sheet glass are doubtful and such data for the industrial glass processing are virtually lacking. The reality is that information about the Russian glass market from various sources (both official and unofficial) differs from one source to another and based on this information, observers ultimately make conflicting conclusions about the flat glass market development. This article examines these discrepancies more closely.
