Grinding of domestic glass at Borsko-Senovsky region became an important and necessary element in the processing of glass. In the period between the late 18th and the mid-20th century, an important sector of the glass industry employing thousands of people originated from small local workshops with primitive grinding devices. It was allowed also by advantageous natural conditions in the region with sufficient water flow and natural sandstone as an important abrasive. This article takes a look at one of the major communities in the area - Rousinov. The article describes its historical development, individual grinderies, grinding technology, and changes in major social events until the end of the water glass grinderies in the 1950s.
