Rockware Glass has unveiled a new trailer with significant advances. The exterior reflects Rockware's new corporate identity, and the interior incorporates several unique features to increase cubic capacity and reduce journeys. The vehicle, the first of its type in the UK packaging industry, has been developed in partnership with Rockware by EU logistics specialist, Christian Salvensen and trailer manufacturer, Don Bur. The combination of DAF 85CF 430 tractor and a customised trailer provide Rockware with a versatile package that can supply the company's four production sites with pallets as well as transport glassware when required. Salvesen's engineering team has designed a unique step-frame trailer shaped to maximise the payload. Although it has the same footprint as the standard trailer, the new one can hold one-third more pallets.
