[Rockware] Turning Good Design Into Consistent Quality

Designers at Rockware Glass, have shed more light onto the whole process of design by applying new modelling technology to create very realistic 3D prototypes, expanding the complexity of the design, shortening lead times & improving quality. Their main focus recently has been on embossing, which is often located around the shoulder of the container, a tricky area to work on. Rockware's CAD System's Technologists have examined a variety of methods using existing equipment & new techniques. Their results far exceeded expectations. A 3D model was created, capturing all the data of the container & specifically the embossing detail, resulting with the mould manufacturer producing an exact & fault-free mould that will form a clean, crisp & clear relief onto the container shoulder. Customers can view within hours an embossed prototype knowing that the end result will be identical.
