A new report, published by Rockware Glass, has outlined the company's continued commitment to "build the most effective recycling system of any packaging material". The "Sustainable Development" report has been released by Rockware in a bid to bring stakeholders up-to-date with the company's performance. It also explains the challenges Rockware will face over the coming months. Under a long-term agreement with Berryman, around £20M has been invested in the glass recycling infrastructure since 2000. Developments have included the establishment of promotion and education programmes as well as the introduction of leading edge waste glass colour sorting and treatment plants. Malcolm Vernon, Director of Logistics at Rockware, said the report would act as an important reminder of the firm's environmental goals.
