Rexam Sales Take It Into Top Ten

Rexam says its estimated packaging sales for 2001 totalled £3.1bn, placing it in the current "top-ten" of global packaging companies. Rexam rates itself as the world's fourth largest consumer packaging company, behind Crown Cork & Seal, Tetra Pak and Owens-Illinois. The league table of the top 100 companies based on year 2000 sales and published in the new World Packaging Companies report placed Rexam in 13th place. Rexam leapt into the global top ten last year thanks to its purchase of American National Can in the summer of 2000, making it the world's largest manufacture of beverage cans.
