Rexam Glass at Dongen in the Netherlands is making the new design of bottle for the flavoured ciders produced by the Belgian producer Stassen. The bottles are made in 33cl long neck and 75cl versions, both produced in flint glass. They are decorated with shrink sleeves designed to complement the bottle and with clear bodies to allow the light colours of the ciders to show through. The sleeve necks are opaque green and cover the cork and wire cage closures to give a Champagne-like look. Stassen is owned by Scottish & Newcastle Brewery. Interbrew is also using Rexam bottles for its new Dominator and Lentehop beers. The bottles are made at Bad Munder in Germany and decorated at Dongen with PSL labels. Dominator is a strong beer and Lentehop is a lighter summer beer; both are part of Interbrew's Dommelsch range.
