The EN4L side-loader, made by Italcarelli has, according to the firm, revolutionised the transport of glass sheets with or without packaging. Thanks to its 4 steering wheels, controlled by PLC, the side-loader can be moved in all directions, by means of driving programs and a touch screen. The innovative touch screen enables to select the different driving programs easily and fast, thanks to the intuitive graphics. Moreover, the touch screen also contains important information for the operator, such as: glass thickness; traverse and side tilting of the vertical mast; movement of the travelling lift; direction indicator; auto-diagnostics and counter, etc. The data is measured using highly-sensitive encoders. The side-loader is also equipped with a system of ultrasound sensors that enables the automatic lining-up of the glass to be loaded.
