Restricting The Use Of Plastic Packaging

From 1 July 1997, the Seberang Perai Municipal Council (MPSP) will be pioneering a courageous move towards the preservation of the environment by restricting the use of plastic packaging in areas under Malaysian jurisdiction. Plastics - a common material often taken for granted by many - but enormous research in its environmental effects have shown that these materials are relatively inert and not degradable, unlike wood, paper, natural fibres or metal and glass.
